Larry Oathout

Larry has been in the construction industry for over 35 years, with the last 18 years as a Superintendent. In the early years of his career, he split his time between commercial fishing in the summer and construction work in the winter. He eventually gave up commercial fishing to concentrate exclusively on establishing his own residential construction company in the Gig Harbor area. However, after owning and operating his company for several years, Larry decided that he preferred the “Do Work” side of the industry. He discovered that the Superintendent role suited him well and the last 18 years have proven him a success.

Larry recognizes that the construction industry has its challenges with all of the potential safety hazards, varying industry standards, and municipality bureaucracy; but his philosophy is that you must enjoy the work if you want to have a successful career within the industry. We are thankful he does.

Larry is an avid outdoors-man and he enjoys hunting and fishing. He is also passionate about Legislative Advocacy for Individuals with Disabilities. In the past, he has volunteered as a baseball coach for a special needs baseball team.
