Design-Build Restaurant Renovation

This Café/Restaurant Renovation project was the first design-build project completed by the Valdez WA Patriot Joint Venture.

The project consisted of designing and constructing renovations to the interior spaces of an existing restaurant galley and dining area. Renovations included selective demolition, asbestos abatement, upgrading interior finishes, redesigning the existing dining and kitchen areas, and installation of Government-furnished equipment. Scope of work also included the addition of a cashier/barista desk, food stations, soup & salad bar, espresso station, and a drink & dessert station.

Temporary Manufacturing Building

The Boeing 45-335 project consisted of a pre-engineered temporary manufacturing building for use by the KC-46 tanker program to support assembly and testing activities at the Everett Modification Center (EMC).

The scope of work for this project included the construction of a pre-manufactured metal building with 7-10’ height stem walls over the existing flightline concrete with large manufacturing building size roll-up doors for aircraft entry. The project also included mechanical and electrical amenities to support operations and two modular support buildings to house additional workspace and restroom facilities.

This project is an Associated General Contractors of WA (AGC) 2016 “Build Washington” award winner for Construction Excellence.

Peace Lutheran Church Remodel and Addition

WA Patriot was selected by the Peace Lutheran Church building committee to perform a design-build expansion and remodel of their facility in Chehalis, WA. The project consists of enlarging the Sanctuary to allow for seating occupancy of 250 as well as make needed improvements to support this size of a facility. This entails reconfiguring and enlarging the restrooms, expanding the Narthex, adding an Entry Portico, and expanding the Parish Hall.

2-25 Bldg. Density Improvements, Plant 2 South

The scope of work for this project consisted of tenant improvements to Boeing’s 2-25 Building, Plant 2 South in Seattle, which remained occupied during construction. Project involved demolition of the existing compartmentalized floor plans and renovation of the areas to allow for a more open floor plan with a higher density of workstations. Renovations also provided more space for accompanying conference rooms and kitchen / collaboration areas on all five floors of this 446,000 sf building. WA Patriot completed the work with minimal impact to the building occupants.

Olympia Country & Golf Club, Phase II

WA Patriot performed this design-build project consisting of a 4,500 sf Clubhouse building with restaurant/lounge, mercantile store, and locker rooms; mid- level cart and bag storage areas with service support, storage, and mechanical rooms; and stair/elevator tower over a 28,822 sf covered Parking Garage which was built into a hillside.

Install Elevator, Remodel Legal Services Offices

WA Patriot installed an elevator and remodeled approximately 15,000 sf of office space to enhance security for Legal Service Offices in Bremerton, WA. The building is a multi-tenant facility, and the security enhancements help to separate access to the legal services spaces from access to adjacent areas.

Harbor Greens T.I.

WA Patriot completed tenant improvements in a 9,500 s.f. area for the future Harbor Greens Market in University Place. Scope included new exterior storefront and exit doors; new exterior finishes; modifications to the parking area; new interior walls and finishes; new restroom fixtures and finishes; and installation of thermal and acoustic insulation.

Tides Tavern, Exterior Renovations & Various Repairs

WA Patriot performed various exterior and interior repairs to this historic Gig Harbor landmark, which included exterior siding repairs, roof repairs, painting, stair repairs, new gutters, new doors/hardware, and new flooring. Based on the quality of WA Patriot’s work and our ability to perform all repairs and upgrades with minimal intrusion to the operations of the restaurant, the owner has asked WA Patriot to perform additional repairs and upgrades throughout the restaurant in the next year.

Modernize Non-Destructive Testing Lab

WA Patriot installed approximately 600,000 lbs of lead sheeting on walls and ceilings of existing Permanent Radiography Installation (PRI) vaults; provided PRI safety interlocks and surveying cameras; installed air conditioning; performed stairway repairs at an existing testing laboratory in Bremerton, WA. The project was completed ahead of schedule with outstanding results.
